Diana DeGarmo became part of American Idol in 2004. She came in second to Fantasia Barrino and since that season’s finale, Diana has accepted projects both on screen and on Broadway.

It was in Broadway when she found the love of her life; Ace Young who was also a contestant for American Idol in a later season. The two worked together in Broadway and eventually fell inlove. They went back on the Idol stage just this Season 11 when Ryan brought them up on stage. It was there when Diana had the surprise of her life! Ace proposed to her and she said yes!
