Discovered: Britney began singing and performing at a very early age. Before her teens she had made an appearance on the syndicated television show Star Search. With this on her resume, she auditioned for Disney's the Mickey Mouse Club for the second time at age 11. At 8 Britney was turned away from the show as the producers felt she was too young.
Determined, Britney spent the next three years studying the performing arts professionally, and on her second attempt at the Mickey Mouse Club she earned a spot on the show's roster. While on the show, she shared the stage with future pop sensations Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake, who she would later become romantically involved with.
At age 15 Britney recorded a demo and auditioned it to several record labels which resulted in her landing a major deal with Jive Records. Working with renowned producers Eric Foster White and Max Martin, Britney would record and release her first full length record. The world was officially introduced to Britney Spears with her first of many singles, "Baby One More Time".
The rest is history. Since, Britney has worked with a number of different producers and artists, and has even collaborated with Madonna on the first single off her last album "Me Against the Music".
