Fox announced plans to cancel The Simple Life October 12, but it's not over according to one of the show's costars, Paris Hilton. "We're shooting Nov 1" she said on October 17. Although Fox had cancelled the show due to scheduling concerns and fears that the stars feuding relationship would cause problems, the network and its partner Bunim-Murray Productions have both expressed optimism that the series will survive. "We hope to be able to announce a network partner in the coming days" said a representative from Twentieth Television. The WB and NBC are among the networks expressing interest in the show plagued with one problem: the show stars two people who don't talk to each other.

AUSTIN POWERS

We may not have seen the last of Austin Powers. Michael York, a cast regular of the 007 movie spoof, revealed that plans are in the works for a fourth instalment of the Austin Powers series to coincide with the release of the new James Bond movie Casino Royale. Speculation is already mounting that the next Powers movie will tell the story of a young Austin Powers, with Seth Green playing the younger version of his movie dad, Dr Evil. "I don't know if Mike Myers would even be involved. It would probably be Seth Green playing Dr Evil Junior" York said.
