Asia isn’t making it easy for Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Ball Tour. She was scheduled to perfom in Indonesia but she was banned from the country as powerful Islams found her work offensive to their faith and other practices. This concern also triggered Christian groups in the Philippines and South Korea to protest and boycott her scheduled concerts in the respective countries. Her provocative lyrics and costumes are not the kind of examples  you would want her followers to imitate as it mocks their religious beliefs.

A lot can be said about this issue.  But one thing is certain. Respect is missing. Let’s leave this issue with what most talk shows have said over the week. Show respect for what everyone wants and thinks is okay.

We may disapprove of certain things but we were gifted with the freedom to choose.

However, as  this concern is slowly dying another issue rises in Thailand because of a tweet from Lady Gaga. She’s arrived in Bangkok  last may 23 and tweeted; I just landed in Bangkok baby! Ready for 50,000 screaming Thai monsters. I wanna get lost in a lady market and buy fake Rolex.

This simple message have stirred the thoughts of several Thais. Gaga’s text may seem harmless but for a big number of Thais, they believe that they were insulted and that their country was placed in a bad light. This tweet will also cause damage to her scheduled concert on the 25th as some fans are now planning to boycott her performances because of her tweet. Now, if Gaga does have time to shop around Bangkok, everyone hopes that she sees the fact that the place has more than fake Rolex watches and fake Birkins to offer.
